Weather Center 2.0 has been released and is avalilable for download. If you currently are using Weather Center, exit and restart the program and the new version will automatically be downloaded.

Corrected an issue with the Start Menu Cleaner not allowing access to the Start Menu to scan for broken shortcuts. This error was only occuring on some systems.

This is a minor update to correct the forcast condition labels in the daily forecast. Sometimes the information was too long and was overlapping the edges of the text area and was not readable.

* Finally resolved the persistant issue of the .Net error "Unauthorized Access to path 'C:\users\...\startmenu\programs". :)

* Fixed issue where the Begin Ceaning button on the Start Menu Tab and the System Cleaner tab would not display properly when using a Windows 2000 display theme (or not using the current WinXp/Vista/Win7 visual styles).

* When trying to run another instance of this program, instead of getting a message that Weather Center is running, the main window will display even if it is hidden from view.

* Corrected issue when right clicking the temperature icon to change the location, you were unable to display the window again and/or the temp icon would disappear.

I have corrected two issues that were reported. The first issue was preventing the program from starting up giving an 'Unauthorized Access Error' to path '...\Users\....\...\Startmenu\programs'

The second issue was receiving a file not found error when clicking the Defragmentation button.

Complete System Tuneup has been updated to v1.1.1.0 with added support for high DPI text settings. I have corrected most all the issues that have been reported in the last few weeks.

If you are using a 64 bit version of Windows, please email at carl@cilsoftware.hostoi.com and let me know if the "Empty The Recycle Bin" option on the System Cleaner tab works or does not work. I would appreciate your help with this issue. Thank You in advance!

Adjusted a few issues with overlapping text when increasing the DPI text size. The maximum DPI setting for this program is 138%, above this there will be difficulty viewing the entire window on the screen and some data may not be visible.

Update to Weather Center

I have released an update to Weather Center. The current version is 1.0.4.2 with the added support for larger DPI text settings. This will allow the program to resize itself to accomodate the larger text without the messy overlap of the items. The issue with the new quick view window showing a weather alert when there was not an alert has also been corrected.

I have discovered a small issue with the recent update. The new Quick view window may display the weather warning title after the alert has expired and when you open the main window, there is no active alert. This does not affect the program and will be corrected in the next release.

Weather Center has been updated to version 1.0.4.1 with a major update to the weather alerts subroutines. I have spent a good deal of time in rewriting the code and testing to make sure we have a good stable version! Please fill out a Software Issue Report if you do experience anything that seems to not work properly. Please send me your comments and suggestions to help improve Weather Center!

I will be releasing an update to Complete System Tuneup in the next day or two. I have been correcting the issues that have been reported since the last build released on 1/6/2010. I am currently testing the corrections and should be completed soon! I know there are a number of people waiting for this release due to the errors preventing the program from working correctly.

There is still an issue with the Weather Alerts. This will only affect United States locations and if you have Alerts enabled in the program. It appears that when a new weather alert is received the temperature icon will notify you there is a new alert, but when you open Weather Center to full view the alert may or may not appear. I am diligently working on this issue and will post updates to keep everyone aware of the progress. Please continue to send in your software issue reports, but please do not send in reports for this particular issue.
